International Named Patient Program
Named Patient / Compassionate Use Program (for non-U.S. healthcare professionals)
A named-patient / compassionate use program is a facility that enables the distribution or supply of a medicine to a specific healthcare professional for the treatment of an individual patient in countries where the medicine is currently not licensed. Each country has its own regulations that provide a legal and ethical way to allow access to patients who need these particular medicines. The exact requirements for use vary from country to country
IDIS is a U.K. based organisation that specialises in the management and distribution of unlicensed medicines on a named-patient / compassionate use basis. Through an agreement with IDIS, Penthrox® (methoxyflurane) is now available on a named-patient / compassionate use basis to healthcare professionals in most countries throughout the world (excluding the U.S.A).
Healthcare professionals who would like to obtain Penthrox® (methoxyflurane) for a specific patient can obtain the medicine on a named-patient / compassionate use basis by contacting IDIS directly.
If you have not contacted IDIS previously, you will be required to register as a new customer and provide details to verify your status as a healthcare professional. IDIS will provide you with full details on how to obtain the product, and where appropriate, assist you with the requirements for import and use of Penthrox® (methoxyflurane) in your country.
For further details please contact IDIS directly:
Tel: +44 (0) 1932 824 123
Fax: +44 (0) 1932 824 323
Through the partnership that has been established between MDI and IDIS, healthcare professionals are now able to readily access Penthrox® (methoxyflurane) in response to patients in need, whilst ensuring the medicine is used appropriately.
