Asthma is a disease of the airways in the lungs1. Globally it is estimated that as many as 300 million people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds suffer from asthma2. While the causes are not fully understood, current thought is that asthma is likely to be caused by a mixture of hereditary and environmental factors. However, asthma can be treated and managed by taking asthma medication, usually in the form of an aerosol inhaler ("puffer").
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) refers to chronic bronchitis and emphysema. COPD is a long term condition.

Space Chamber® aerosol spacer
